Golf Classes with Jim Perez

Join local USGTF Hall of Fame Instructor, Jim Perez this summer for some great golf lessons!  With four classes to choose from, you’re sure to find the right class for you, and will be improving your game in no time.

  • Golf 101 – Short Game to Full Swing
    • Learn the fundamentals to the short game, such as putting, chipping, pitching and sand, as well as how to hit fairway shots and tame your driver.
    • Class meets Saturdays 7/14-8/11 7:00-8:00am  $59
  • Open Golf Lab
    • Join the new Open Golf Lab, and Jim will help you improve any area of your golf game where you struggle!
    • Class meets Saturdays 7/14-8/11 8:00-9:00am  $59
  • Ladies Golf 101 – Short Game to Full Swing
    • Ladies, everything you want to know about, bring your questions to Jim.  Learn the fundamentals to the short game, as well how to hit those long fairway shots.
    • Class meets Saturdays 7/14-8/11 9:00-10:00am  $59
  • Driving Class
    • Come and learn to hit your driver as far as possible!
    • Class meets Wednesdays 7/11-8/8 7:00-8:00pm  $59

 

Jim Perez is also on CBS Channel 47 giving a golf tip of the week every Tuesday morning!  Sign up today and learn from this local treasure we have right here in the central valley!  Classes are held at Bluff Pointe Golf Course, located at 8225 N. Milburn Ave. in Fresno.  Each class requires purchase of a medium bucket of range balls for $7.  Kids 14+ are welcome, and must register with a parent or guardian.

Fit For Life!

Fit For Life!

Men and women can enjoy this physical conditioning class designed to improve one’s mind and body fitness through cardiovascular routines, floor exercise, weight resistance, and stretching – all done to motivation and FUN music!  Our instructor has been teaching fitness classes for over 30 years in health clubs, physical education college courses and at Castle Air Force Base.

Join the class and learn healthy fitness habits that are fun and enjoyable, with motivating classmates and an enthusiastic instructor!

Class meets twice a week, T/Th 7/10-8/16 from 6:00-7:00pm at Woods Elementary School (please note location change from the printed catalog) – you get 12 classes for $89.

This is a beginning level karate class taught by Sensei Quitoriano from Mr. C’s Karate in Clovis!

Sensei will help improve and develop your physical strength, endurance, confidence, discipline, respect, and motivation in the great class!  Men and women are welcome!

Hula Hoop Fun!

Do you need some lively exercise in your life?  Do you remember being a kid and just picking up that hula hoop and for hours while listening to your favorite tunes?  This class is designed with FUN in mind!  You will be amazed at how hula hooping strengthens your core and improves balance.  It is a fun, motivating way to get your daily exercise!  Some hula hoops are available for class use, but if you have your own, bring it to class!

Class is M/W 8:10-8:50am, 7/9-8/15 – 12 classes for $55.  Grab a friend and sign up today!

Learn something new about fitness with this awesome Hula Hoop class!

Cardio Flow Yoga

Cardio Flow Yoga

In this 45-minute heat building yoga sequence, you will alternate between upper body and lower body postures designed to give you a well-rounded practice in a short amount of time.  Class is designed this way to get you heated quickly and to get your blood flowing pretty fast.  Building heat helps get deeper into your muscles and deeper into your practice.  You will also work in the core and enjoy a few sweet stretches and long holds.

Class meetings M/W/F from 9:00-10:00am, 7/9-8/17 at the Heal One World Studio – 18 classes for $119.  The studio is located at 670 E. Bullard Ave, Suite 105 in Fresno, near Bullard and First.

We love fitness at Clovis Community Ed!

Our fitness instructors are the best!  Taking our classes is a great way to maintain a regular fitness routine and meet other people with similar interests.

Zumba  –  Exercise in Disguise! The Zumba program is a Latin-inspired, dance fitness class that combines international music and dance movement variations from Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton, and Hip-Hop.  Zumba creates a fun and effective way to feel good about yourself while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  Let our instructor help you reach your fitness goals!  LETS JUST DANCE!!

Dance Exercise  –  Getting fit will be a blast in this low impact dance class.  Instructor, Leah Dickerson will lead you through Swing, Jazz, Ballroom and Latin steps incorporated into fun routines.  No partner needed.  Social dances we know and love mixed with classic and motivating music makes this class more like a party than a chore.  From the Charleston to the Cha Cha let’s work off those pounds together.  Let’s dance!
