Our very own Clovis Community Choir will be singing the NATIONAL ANTHEM at a Fresno Grizzlies game!
Tuesday, June 20th, 7pm
The Clovis Community Choir is a non-auditioned choral group for singers of all backgrounds. YOU will want to be a part of this choir if you:
*Love singing great choral music of all styles: Inspirational ballads to heartwarming sacred favorites. Quality arrangements of Pop Music and Show Tunes. Patriotic and Americana to Classical pieces by the masters. A Capella selections or accompanied by varieties of instruments!
*Enjoy the weekly aspect of all that takes place in a fast paced and fun, yet challenging rehearsal with other singers from around the community…each of varying age and experience. Learning from each other. Growing together, musically and socially. A “high note” of the week!
*Desire the thrill of presenting concerts that bring joy and inspiration to our community in ways that only choral music, presented with dedication and excellence, can do!
Director Ed Cobb invites all singers to come and blend their voices in this new community choir. Bringing over 25 years of choral and orchestral conducting experience, Ed enjoys providing a rewarding musical opportunity whether you’ve sung in school or church choirs or no choir at all. Being able to ‘carry a tune’ is a must…and maybe a little music reading ability will help, but most of all…a love for singing with a group and sharing that love with others!
Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings from 6-8pm in the Choir Room at Clovis West High School. Each session ends with a concert presentation at various locations such as the Shaghoian Performing Arts Center, Clovis Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium, and The People’s Church.
