Offered from 12-6 month programs, the idea is to make one or two blocks each month. At the end of the time frame, you will have a completed quilt top. It’s a nice way to make a quilt in small, bite-size pieces allowing the quilter the opportunity to learn a variety of patchwork techniques and patterns. This BOM will be a 10 month program meeting the first Monday of the month unless otherwise noted. The pattern will be America the Beautiful from McCall’s Quilting January 2011. Quilt piecing experience is encouraged. Instructions will be emailed ahead of time as to the amount of fabric needed and you will have class time each month to work on the new blocks. While Quilting experience is preferred and highly encouraged, it is not required. Participants need to know how to operate and troubleshoot their own sewing machine.
