5 Summer Fun Scholars All 4-6 year old kids who have not been to kindergarten are welcome to join one of the Pre-Kindergarten Fun classes! Parents must sign in and sign out every class meeting. This course is designed to prepare your youngster for kindergarten. Your child will be introduced to kindergarten activities such as art, music and movement, math and science, literacy development, games, and social interaction with other children. In addition to the basic curriculum, we will explore the beach, camping, dinosaurs, and much more! Children attending MUST be potty trained and at least 4 years of age before the program begins. 13 Enjoy the thrill of playing various sports and discover which sport is your favorite. Students will have the opportunity to experience a variety of sports in a relaxed and encouraging environment. In addition to acquiring new skills, we will learn the value of teamwork. The basic techniques of soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball, and flag football will be covered. Come ready to hustle and bring a bottle of water to each class. Ages 6-9 M/W 10:10am-12:10pm Adebayo Sport Court $199 Come try out Ultimate Frisbee! If you love to run, catch, and throw, this is the sport for you. Learn the basics of this fast-paced game and play against your friends! T/Th 8:00-10:00am Bishop Sport Court $199 Scuba classes are special classes that are located at a different site. Students must have their own transportation. Bubblemaker is as fun as it sounds - a chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving. Children who are at least 8 years old can use scuba gear to breathe underwater and swim around in shallow water. Kids must be comfortable in the water, but no prior experience is necessary. In the Bubblemaker program, participants get a basic introduction to how to use scuba equipment, how to clear a regulator and mask, and an overview of breathing do's and don'ts. All required scuba equipment will be provided for a fee. There will be a mandatory parent/ guardian meeting at which the instructor will go over the program and have parents/guardians fill out the necessary forms. The fee that includes scuba equipment and class materials is $150. This will be payable to the instructor at the parent meeting. To ensure a safe student to instructor ratio, class is limited to 6 students. No class meeting 7/4. Requirements: Mandatory parent/guardian meeting Tuesday, 6/7 at 6pm. Student provides his or her own mask, snorkel, and fins. Scuba and class material fee: $150 (pay to teacher) Registration fee: $199 Location and time to be announced. The Seal Team is for young scuba divers who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by completing exciting AquaMissions. Have you ever wondered what it's like to take digital pictures underwater or float effortlessly like an astronaut? The Seal Team includes doing some cool stuff in the pool, meeting friends, and sharing in the adventure of the underwater world. To join the Seal Team, a child must be 10 years of age or older. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but kids should be comfortable in the water. There will be a mandatory parent/guardian meeting at which the instructor will go over the program and have parents/ guardians fill out the necessary forms. 15 TERMS AND CONDITIONS of Summer Fun Summer Fun Safety Your child’s safety is our number one priority. Every Summer Fun employee is part of the Clovis Unified School District and has fingerprint clearance. All CUSD safety procedures and rules will be followed by staff and students. Drop Off and Pick Up There will be a drop off and pick up zone where parents can stay in the car to drop off the students. Summer Fun employees will guide the students to their classrooms. If the student is enrolled in back to back classes a Summer Fun employee will walk the student to his or her next class. At the end of their enrolled classes, Summer Fun employees will escort students to the pick up area. Students will be supervised at all times. Late Pick- Ups Children picked up late will be charged $1.00 for every minute after his or her last class. Excessive late pick-ups could result in your child being removed from the program. Snacks and Breaks Teachers have allowed time in their lessons for snacks and breaks. Your child can bring a snack to Summer Fun. Allergies/Medical If your child has allergies please inform all of his/her teachers and the Summer Fun office. In case of illness or other emergency, when parent/guardian is unavailable, by agreeing to the terms and conditions of Summer Fun the parent/guardian hereby authorizes a representative of the school to make such arrangements as he/she deems necessary for the child to receive medical or hospital care, including transportation. Under such circumstances parent/guardian further authorizes a physician to undertake such care and treatment of the child as needed. Refunds and Transfers We have a NO REFUND policy and a NO TRANSFER policy. Please choose your classes carefully. If a class is cancelled by Summer Fun a full refund for the entire class fee will be processed. If there are unforeseen circumstances and a transfer is necessary, upon approval from the director a transfer fee of $25 per class will be required. Tax Information Tax Id # 94-2840774. Your paid invoice will act as a record for tax purposes. Amounts reported for childcare for year-end tax purposes are the responsibility of the individual. Payment We accept MasterCard/Visa, Cash, and Checks payable to Clovis Unified School District with Summer Fun in the memo line. There is a $25 processing fee for all returned checks. Summer Fun Photos By agreeing to the terms and conditions of Summer Fun the parent/guardian gives permission for the child to be photographed during the course of Summer Fun. These photos may be used in future promotional materials for the Summer Fun program.
