Join us to learn this easy technique that uses even little pieces of fabric. Crumb blocks can be used to make coasters to full-sized quilts. A supply list will be sent prior to the class. Participants need to have some sewing experience and know how to operate and troubleshoot their own sewing machine. This technique “touches” on paper piecing but by no means do you have to know how to paper piece. This is a super fast way to use up leftover fabric pieces! A supply list will be sent prior to the class. Participants need to have some sewing experience and know how to operate and troubleshoot their own sewing machine. While this can be true focus fabrics can also be used. With this twoday workshop, we will make this mini quilt from start to finish. To maximize your time in class students will be allowed to leave their machines and supplies overnight. This is a beginnerlevel friendly block; while quilting knowledge is preferable it is not required. A supply list will be sent prior to the class. They all have a few pockets and are roomy enough to hold a couple of days' worth of belongings. A supply list will be sent prior to the class. Participants need to have some sewing experience and know how to operate and troubleshoot their own sewing machine. Does the thought of using a sewing machine seem daunting? This class is great for the absolute beginner! We will cover all the basics you need to get started from setting up your machine to learning basic sewing techniques. Students will complete 3 projects and learn the following techniques: Straight, French and encased seams, turning/pivoting corners, box corners, hemming, creating handles and a casing. The instructor has been sewing for 20+ years and is a 3rd generation seamstress. Students will need to provide their own sewing machine and materials. The first night of class is discussion only, you will not need to bring your machine. We will go over all the materials needed W 5:30-8:30pm 5/10-6/21 7 Classes CAE E1 Smith $169 QUILTING This ongoing class is for quilters of various skill levels. The class is for those wanting to continue their block and piecing techniques to those interested in learning to quilt. First-time quilters will be given a simple quilt project and returning students will work on various skill-level projects. While basic quilting knowledge is preferred, it is not required, however, students must know how to operate and troubleshoot their own machines.
