Would you like to learn how to read a pattern? Are you interested in trying new stitches? Students of all skill levels will learn different crochet stitches at their own pace. Our instructor has been crocheting for 40+ years. Students will be sent an email before class with a supply list. Students will be emailed a list of items to bring to class. No class meeting 5/26 T-SHIRT QUILT T-shirt quilts are popular and a great way to save your memories. This class will cover the basics from cutting, preparing and sewing t-shirts to make a quilt. Some quilting/sewing knowledge is preferred. Students must have their own sewing machine and know how to operate and troubleshoot their own sewing machine. QUILTING This ongoing class is for quilters of various skill levels. First-time quilters will be given a simple quilt project and returning students will work on various skill-level projects. While basic quilting experience is preferred, it is not required; however, students must know how to operate and troubleshoot their own sewing machines. First time students, the first class is a lecture, you do not need to bring your machine. Returning students, your supply list will be discussed ahead of time. BLOCK OF THE MONTH (BOM) This 10-month BOM wraps up with the last blocks in May and June. June will also cover the layout of the blocks for finishing the top. Instructions will be sent ahead of time. While quilting experience is preferred and highly encouraged, it is not required. Participants need to know how to operate and troubleshoot their own sewing machine. CAKE DECORATING Dive into the delectable world of buttercream with our 6-week cake decorating class. Designed to take participants on a comprehensive journey from beginner to proficient decorator, this course begins by grounding students in the fundamentals of buttercream by achieving the perfect consistency and hue. As participants hone their skills in leveling, layering, and base frosting, they will also be introduced to the art of piping, exploring both foundational techniques and more intricate designs. The final week will be dedicated to a personalized cake project, allowing participants to put their newfound skills to the test with a showstopping creation.
