In this workshop, you’ll explore techniques, tips, and creative ways to use fabric scraps. While you may make a few blocks, the focus is on inspiration and rethinking leftover fabric. A supply list will be sent prior to class. Some sewing experience and the ability to operate your own sewing machine are required. Deadline to register 6/29. * WANDERING QUILTERS - SO CAL QUILTERS RUN From Thousand Oaks to Palm Springs and El Cajon this hop is so big it takes 2 weekends to complete! We will visit 3 of the 15 participating shops. However, in true Wandering Quilters fashion we have fun“extras” planned. We will visit Gardens of the World in Thousand Oaks and The Getty in LA. Space is limited to 7 people so make your deposit today so you don’t miss this exciting trip! Deadline to register 6/18. * CRAZY NINE PATCH QUILT WORKSHOP This fun, fast-paced workshop introduces a stack-and-wack technique that transforms a traditional nine-patch into a bold, modern quilt block. By cutting and rearranging fabric squares in a creative,“wonky” way, you’ll create dynamic blocks with a stained-glass look. You’ll make sample blocks and learn the technique, though the project may not be completed in class. A supply list will be sent prior to class. Some sewing experience and familiarity with your own sewing machine is required. Deadline to register 5/13. * CRAZY QUILT SNAP POUCH Discover the Victorian Crazy Quilt style—known for its irregular fabric pieces and decorative seams—while creating a snap pouch. In this workshop, you’ll construct a large embellished block and turn it into a pouch that snaps open and closed using a metal tape-measure hinge. Some sewing and quilting experience is strongly encouraged, and participants must be comfortable operating their own sewing machine. A supply list will be sent prior to class. Deadline to register 5/20. * WANDERING QUILTERS - NAPA Quilt shops, Lavender farm, thrift store, wine, yummy eateries and the beauty of Napa! What more could you ask for? Space is limited to 7 people so register now. This one is sure to fill up fast! Deadline to register 4/17. Wandering Quilter Trips are non-refundable unless the trip is cancelled by school. * Participants need to have some sewing experience and know how to operate and troubleshoot their own sewing machine.
