This class is designed for individuals who want to enhance stage presence and confidence. Students will participate in advanced vocal exercises. All students are asked to sing two songs, selected by the instructor to challenge and encourage the student, for a peer-review and critiquing of performances by fellow students. This class is for those who own a point & shoot, mirrorless, or entry DSLR camera. The course covers some of the controls of the camera to allow the photographer to be a little more creative with their pictures. Students will learn how to organize their pictures on their computer, and share their photos with others. Basic computer skills are highly recommended. Bring a USB flash drive to save your work. INTRO TO LIGHTROOM AND PHOTOSHOP Digital photographers, take your photos to the next level and learn what Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop can do to your pictures. This course will teach the basics of each program and some of the features such as ways to share your pictures on the web. You will also learn how to create a digital photo book of your pictures. For the landscape photographers, we will learn about how to create an HDR (High Dynamic Resolution) from your photos to make your pictures stand out. In Photoshop, you will learn how to resize your pictures to easily share on the web or emails. Plus, with Photoshop, you will have a chance to take several pictures and combine them into one photo. CREATIVE WRITING This is an introduction into creative writing genres and will focus on three main areas: poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. We will learn about each genre by reading published works, studying the craft, and writing and work- shopping our own pieces.
