From the fundamentals of nursing, to the principles of mental health and everything in between, students will experience learning styles in lecture courses as well as clinical rotations around the valley. Upon completion, graduates will have the understanding and expertise to enter LVN positions in a medical office, hospital, long term care facility, and other health care settings. Vocational Nurse Class Information ■ 18 month program (1530 hours) ■ 3 days a week, days vary ■ Program tuition cost $12,000 ■ Additional cost approx. $4,000 for books, uniform, CAE health requirements, etc. ■ State licensure expenses approx $740 (includes application, test, and state licensure) ■ Financial Aid is available to those who qualify ■ Must have access to a laptop/ computer and reliable internet ■ Must be able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs. as well as stand for long periods of time ■ All students who apply for the VN program will interview with the Director of Nursing To Submit anApplication YouMust Submit: ■ Proof of work experience as a CNA with a minimum of 350 hours ■ Must be 18 years or older (Valid government issued photo I.D.) ■ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution ■ Results of TABE Placement Tests with a minimum score of 11.0 ■ Active Nursing Assistant Certification ■ All pre-requisites completed with a score of 78% or above ■ If you are in your last pre-req course(s), you may submit an application, acceptance is contingent upon successful completion. ■ Have a current BLS (American Heart only CPR card) ■ Have a valid government issued photo I D ■ Submit a Vocational Nurse Application CAE Health Requirements must be completed upon acceptance Please Note: Students with felony or misdemeanor convictions may have issues with placements in clinicals and state licensure.
