CNA’s assist with direct health care needs for patients, under the supervision of a nurse. Whether this is your dream job or a step in the right direction, we’d love to help you get started! NA class and clinical training includes ■ Resident care skills and vital signs ■ Nutrition, rehabilitation, and emergency procedures ■ Grooming ■ Standing for long periods of time, pushing, pulling, and lifting at least 50 lbs. Upon completion of course objectives, eligible students will take the state competency exam for state certification. Nurse Assistant Class Information ■ 13 week program (220 hours) ■ Program cost $1,000 ■ Morning and Evening classes available ■ Additional costs approx. $500-$700 for ▶ books, uniforms, supplies, etc. ▶ American Heart CPR and CAE health requirements ■ State exam $120 ■ Student selection is on a first come first serve basis ■ Must have access to a laptop/computer and reliable internet Nurse Assistant Entry Requirements: ■ Must be 18 years or older ■ Pass the TABE Placement Tests at 8 0 or higher ■ Have a valid government issued I.D. (California ID/License or passport) ■ Submit a Nurse Assistant Application to the Nursing Department ■ If accepted, CAE health requirements must be completed.
