COOKING FOR BEGINNERS Would you like to learn new ways to simply and easily cook delicious meals with fresh, nutritious ingredients? This introductory cooking course will develop the basic kitchen skills of beginner home cooks who have little to no cooking experience. Students will have fun learning how to plan simple recipes, measure and prepare ingredients, and efficiently store food for makeahead meals. Throughout this four-week course, students will gain confidence in the kitchen and will take home four tasty recipes to use at home. In this class we will learn how to make focaccia bread from start to finish. Students will use artistically chopped and sliced toppings to create lovely and tasty breads. NEW LEMON POPPYSEED MUFFINS There’s nothing quite like the fresh, bright flavor of lemon poppyseed muffins. In this class, you’ll learn how to make them from scratch, focusing on the methods that give muffins a tender crumb, even rise, and just the right balance of citrus and sweetness. We’ll also prepare a light lemon glaze to top them off. By the end of class, you’ll have a reliable recipe, practical baking techniques, and a batch of muffins ready to take home.
