Learn to create and care for your own Bonsai tree! You’ll begin with a pre-Bonsai tree and an empty pot, and move through the creation process. Discover how to shape, repot, treat illnesses, and proper water a Bonsai tree. You will also learn the history and traditions relating to Bonsai.
This class is designed for beginners of all ages, or for those who are looking to expand their knowledge. A variety of pre-Bonsai tree species will be used to ensure students find the tree that suits them.
Requirements: Students must bring their own straight edged garden hand shears, and a $30 material fee (cash or check) payable to the instructor – includes the Bonsai tree, pot, soil and wire.
This class is open to students 14 and up – parents, sign up with your teens for a fun evening together this summer, and learn a new hobby together!
Class is one night only – Wednesday 7/18 from 6:00-9:00pm, cost is $29 per person. Register on our website, by phone at 559-327-2876, or stop by the Community Ed office on the Clovis Adult campus, located at 1452 David E. Cook Way, near the corner of Herndon and Sunnyside.
