Have you ever been to Hawaii and seen those amazing dancers on stage at luau? Do you ever wonder how they manage to move their hands and hips so gracefully? There is a long and rich history in the world of hula. This beautiful dance has existed for a long time and dancers move to the beat of traditional Hawaiian music, and sometimes singing. In this class you’ll learn basic hula steps and how to move your hips with the fluid motion of a dancer. By the end of the class you’ll know how to move your hips like a hula dancer. The instructor has been dancing since 2005 and is excited to introduce this culture with you.
Class meets Thursdays 10/26-12/7 from 6:00-7:00pm (no class meeting 11/23), at Woods Elementary, located at 700 Teague Ave (Teague & Clovis).
